How dark or light you are, you must proud be of yourself and we must treat others fairly. Don't be a racist and just follow what Jesus says, "Love your neighbor". We should also have unity in this world. We people are equal so stop discriminating others.

The Telephone Conversation

The price seemed reasonable, location

Indifferent. The landlady swore she lived
Off premises. Nothing remained
But self- confession “Madam, I warned,
“I hate a wasted journey- I am African.”
Silence. Silenced transmission of
Pressurised good – breeding. Voice, when it came
Lipstick-coated, long gold-rolled
Cigarette- holder pipped. Caught I was foully
“HOW DARK?...... I had not misheard……
“ARE YOU LIGHT OR VERY DARK?” Button B, Button A, stench
Of rancid breath of public hide-and –speak
Red booth. Red pillar box. Red double-tiered
Omnibus squelching tar. It was real. Shamed
By ill-mannered silence, surrender
Pushed dumbfounded to beg simplification.
Considerate she was, varying the emphasis-
“ARE YOU DARK? OR VERY LIGHT?" Revelation came
“You mean –like plain or milk chocolate?”
Her assent was clinical, crushing in its light
Impersonality, Rapidly, wave length adjusted,
I chose “West African sepia”- and as afterthought,
“Down in my passport.” Silence for spectroscopic
Flight of fancy, till truthfulness clanged her accent
Hard on the mouthpiece. “WHAT IS THAT?” conceding
“DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT IS” “Like brunette.”
THAT’S DARK, ISN’T IT?” Not altogether,
Facially, I am a brunette, but Madam you should see
The rest of me. Palm of my hand, soles of my feet
Are a peroxide blonde. Friction caused
Foolishly, Madam – by sitting down, has turned
My bottom raven black- One moment – sensing
Her receiver rearing on the thunderclap
About my ears- “Madam” I pleaded “wouldn’t you rather
See for yourself?” 

What is the problem that is visible in the text? The problem their is the landlady because she is discriminating the African guy. I remember, when i was outside a mall with my mom and we saw two taxi drivers talking about something and I heard that one of the driver has a passenger who is an African. He discriminate the physical appearance of the African. Guys, Being a racist is not a good idea. We must be fair to each other because that was God wants us to do.

My Perception of Black and White

RACISM? What is Racism?

According to Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, racism means a belief that race is the primary determinant in human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race, racial prejudice or discrimination. 

Now, Let us talk about the colors  BLACK and WHITE. What about this colors? These colors symbolizes many things. Black is the color of the night, and of "evil."  Black can also be a color of elegance or class Black can also represent ideas such as power, sexuality, sophistication, formality, wealth, mystery, fear, evil, unhappiness, depth, style, sadness, remorse, anger, and mourning.  Black can also represent a lack of color, the primordial void, emptiness. It can also mean sorrow or mourning. Meanwhile, White is a sacred and pure color.  It's the color of angles and gods, as the color reflects that which is sacred and pure.   It is also the color of doctors, nurses, and others in the health profession, as well as cleanliness. In fact, the Japanese refer to nurses as "Angels in White".

White can also represent reverence, purity, simplicity, peach, humility, youth, winter, snow, good, cold, clinical, and sterile.

 These colors has both positive and negative effects, but we must not compare it. God made those colors and like those colors we are also created by God so we, people of the world we must have peace and we must love one another. Maybe, other people are black or white, with teeth or without teeth, with hair or without hair. We are all the same because all of us are made by GOD. So, Stop discriminating other people.
